31 August 2004
having been home, i've really been missing my relatives in HK. here we are, minus DBG. in the back are Ori and me, then Grandma and Aunt Sylvia.

and equally missed are those who made my eight days in Taipei unforgettable in more ways than i can describe (descriptions below each photo):

Sunny (first from left), Howard (second from left) and i were out touring on a scorching day and had just ducked into an underground walkway for a brief reprieve en route to purchasing an ice cold drink when we bumped into Ian, going the opposite way! good thing i was able to see him before he went to the States for study.

then, who else do we see but Ian's brother, Eric, who was just about to head off to a night class? here we are, after enjoying shaved ice (which, by the way, is only AUTHENTIC and DELICIOUS in Taiwan).

another day, it was off to YangMingShan National Park with Howard (photographer for this shot), Flora (first from left), Moodrise (second from right), and Sunny. hot as it was, i shall never forget cow gazing or picnic shopping at Carrefour!!

i stayed at Gloria's place and we always stayed up late chatting as if time were never to pass. here we are with Jason, shortly following afternoon tea at Sazabe Cafe...mmm, parfait!!

though i was just in Taipei for eight days, i experienced both tourist and local life, including teaching English with Anna (left) and Gloria (right), bargain hunting at the Shilin night market (especially earrings!), laughing about certain people posing for photos, and sweet-and-salty afternoon tea.

others to mention include Alice, Angela, Charlene, Eva, J.B., Mimi, Sabrina, William, Wu BaBa and Wu MaMa, and Pastor Yang.

THANKS AGAIN, EVERYONE! i shall see you SOON!!

(these photos are by no means the entire set, so if you wish to see the rest, please let me know and i'll give you the link.)

and here are some photos from a dear friend's farewell:

there were many others there that night, i just happened not to catch them on film for some reason (too busy with pool?).

then last night i was blessed to celebrate a lovely sister's birthday with her:
(isn't she pretty? she's an inspiration inside and out)
