The Enemy sought to bring us to our knees and succeeded. He had no idea, however, that we would kneel before you. And he has no idea what you can do. (Max Lucado)

on this very day three years ago. as the events unfolded, i remember that at first i was on MSN with jona and he told me to turn on the TV. even as i watched the video footage and heard familiar, much-too-close-to-home names and places mentioned by the reporters, it all seemed surreal...yet indeed that day has forever altered the world. for me, it's a solemn reminder of just how far man has strayed from God's perfect plan, and the overwhelming influence of evil in today's society. thankfully, He has shown a better, much simpler way to live, and may all of us who know Him personally consciously and continuously choose and share His Truth, that love and light would overpower hate and darkness in all circumstances.

Moreover, while recollection of and reflection on this day more often brings sadness and grief than joy, let us not forget that Christ will forever remain the victor, and in Him is unfailing hope and strength! To quote from one of my favorites, "Battle Hymn of the Republic":

Glory, glory, hallelujah
Glory, glory, hallelujah
Glory, glory, hallelujah
Our God is marching on
