about a week and a half left before school (work!) lets out for the summer. i'd have to say that the opportunity to connect with not only students, but their parents, has been tremendously rewarding, as has seeing the little ones gain insight into their own behavior. however, my preference for teaching older children remains. i'll never forget the one time i was asked, "you're a Christian. WHAT'S THAT?" and could openly and vividly explain my faith.

they say when one door shuts, another opens. that may ring true in a lot of areas of life, but He knows where i need to be patient, thus lies the unending test before me.

SG bonding highlights:
  • one prayer answered after another
  • group worship
  • two-hour (window) furniture shopping
  • folding hearts
  • Rush Hour marathon
  • endless chat and laughs over much-too-concentrated mango slush
  • BBQ - water fights, risky umbrellas and mosquito-repelling candles
  • cooking dinner together
  • everyone (and i mean EVERYONE) playing LPS
  • hockey mania!!!

the boys in the copper and blue have made us all proud. thanks for building up our city's morale, and drawing us all closer together through your determination, perseverance and unwavering faithfulness to the task. though the outcome wasn't the expected and anticipated one, you are all heroes in our eyes and we love you, Oilers!!!
