i confess that despite my immense hatred of Canadian winter, i enjoy watching snow sports...especially Olympic speed skating!!
i wouldn't trade my church family for anything in this world. thank you for our journey together through the peaks and valleys of these ten years. ^___^

HU songs in mandarin...a trifle strange at first, but also enjoyable when it happens to be a tune you love jumping up and down to.
jen, laura and i were quite impacted by today's chapel sermon on habbakuk 3. not that we hadn't previously come across "i have heard of Your fame; i stand in awe of Your deeds", but we were struck mostly by the in spite of it all, I will still praise You theme:
主的喜乐是我力量 你的救恩是我盼望
虽然橄榄树不效力 也许葡萄树不结果
我仍因救我的神欢欣快乐
我要赞美 无论得时或不得时
我要赞美 每天从日出到日落

...and when people come to church, are they seeing the "parade" or the "clown"? Father, may You be all, may nothing stand in the way of Your people meeting and coming to know You deeply.
