much more than a warm fuzzy of being loved by the Lord came out of YC 2005, and i can't wait to share more about it...once i collect my thoughts and all. thanks to my youth and co-leaders for contributing to this rich experience. hey, He's all we ever need, and yet He chose to give me each of you. wow!

one of my best friends is getting married next summer. i'm so delighted for her! guess i'll be heading over to taiwan again ^____^

still don't know what the fall looks like in terms of job prospect, but i'm trusting He can and will do anything far better than i can arrange or predict. so, thanks, Lord, for holding my future in Your hand, and giving me patience to wait on You.

last night i got to lead the juniors in Bible study for the first time in a while. we explored the Jewish custom of wearing phylacteries and the application of that being the importance of having God's Word written in our hearts. i was impressed by how our group welcomed the three newcomers enthusiastically...we are one in Him!

still not quite sure what to do this summer, beyond zurich. my previously anticipated eastern canada voyage with sisters doesn't look likely, and i'd like to be even more productive. the biggest project i can see is preparing for camp at the end of the month and putting together the band. ^_^

be encouraged, all - "[We} can do all things through Him who gives [us] strength." (Phillppians 4:13)

days like today make me thank the Lord for good teachers. how they put up with whining, argumentative attitudes, or passive resistance...truly God's gift! i guess this also applies to parents, who often are being given undeserved responses. without going into details, i can say that today truly was draining and i'm glad it's over.

having yesterday's shift to look back on helps ease the stress slightly, though - thanks to two sweet girls for the sign language lesson :)

rain rain go away, come again another day.

(你們所聽的是 lamb music耶穌基督是主...cute, no?)

such a relaxing day, as SS, LN and i made hawrelak park our glorious playground yesterday afternoon. first we picnicked, then played games, finished with a stroll around the entire grounds. seemed a bit surreal, yet i totally basked in it. i'm actually glad it wasn't hotter, but with a light breeze and not so many flying insects as summer :)

my flight's booked. now i just have to finish submitting my docuemnts, pack my bags, and PRAY PRAY PRAY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MIMI! hope your job, ministry etc. are all going well.

as summer nears, time seems to increasingly vanish in an eyeblink! and i'm definitely looking forward to july and august. my round 2 paperwork from OM came in the mail today. it only now hit me that i could applied to go as an SSM with the international mission board since in some respects, i'm still a student. however, now i'll get a glimpse into another mission organization's operations. never realized i'd have 'homework', though!

came across this in my devotions today:

For the revelation awaits an appointed time;
it speaks of the end
and will not prove false.
Though it linger, wait for it;
it will certainly come and will not delay.

"See, he is puffed up;
his desires are not upright
but the righteous will live by his faith... (Habbakuk 2:3-4)

seemingly unrelated verses, but this reminds me that living righteously and being patient are not mutually exclusive calls - God's truth is revealed only in His timing, and we shouldn't second guess Him. if we wait, He will give us vision, inspiration and strength to withstand anything and everything. moreover, there are serious consequences to arrogance. it makes me think back to the news story about the thousands of german toads who puffed up and died suddenly. (mind you, this still baffles scientists...but people can often be like that, trying to keep others at a distance by claiming they are better and know it all...and then it backfires and hurts them instead.)

Lord, how we all need humility and total devotion to You!
