it's hardest to get up when you know you're the one who dug the hole and, avoiding all the warning signs, chose to step in anyway. and now, being stuck, all you can do is hope Someone will take your hand and ease you out.

Gotte, konnen Sie mir helfen?

Psalm 91:14-16
"Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.

With long life will I satisfy him
and show him my salvation."

how can i be a refuge to others?

that was the challenge posed in today's sermon, and it has made me re-examine the relationships in my life. have i truly allowed myself to be a blessing in the lives of others, not just as a friend, but someone who proclaims His truth without compromise, even when it's tough to do so? or have i sought out friends only for how they can enrich and bring joy to my own life? friendships in this world can be so futile, with people dropping one another when there is offense or disagreement...yet God doesn't say to live in just harmony and good cheer, but rather in love. and to love means bearing with but being open and authentic with one another. so, refuge is more than being someone others can trust, but someone who points the way to our one and only security, in Christ Jesus.

Lord, may i reflect You in my relationships, and help my fellow brothers and sisters in their journey. also teach me to accept others' counsel if it comes from You and be spurned towards a life of righteousness as a result.

Pray continually. (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

when all you can do is pray...

prayer is the outpour of our hearts, should be as natural as our response to those with whom we engage in frequent conversation. so, why do we put Him at such a distance when all He wants is for us to draw near? oh, that our hearts, hands and souls would be Yours to mold and grow fully.

Jesus, help me to ground myself in praying to You as You challenged me before.
