my first week of teaching is now complete.

the days have been a whirlwind - getting used to the routine, trying to be proactive with classroom management, preparing materials for lessons, solving 'tattling' disputes, hanging out with the teachers, laughing over the craziest things, spending time with the kids etc. etc. all in a week's work, and i wouldn't have it any other way! a friend told me that with teaching there's a two-week honeymoon period, but i think even after the novelty wears off, i'll still enjoy what i do. i know for sure that had God given this job to me sooner, i would have a lot less patience and much more to complain about, but as it stands, i'm confident this is from Him, and no matter how tough some days might be, semper fi is just what it takes!

a flurry of changes the past few weeks that weren't necessarily bad, but definitely a bit trying with the limited time and all the usual hectic schedules to keep. most intense would have to be the EXPERIMENT. God knows my heart and how much i need Him to help me guard it, and as a result, i was given a clear answer within a week. life is just better when you're walking at the same pace (vs. one chasing the other, or just one knowing what's going on), your head held high, lots of dancing and a Best Friend and angels giving the right amount of sternness and caution mixed with love and humor to keep you anchored. thanks xxooxx
