on summer holidays finally...

so thankful to be offered something permanent, making it so i technically don't have to do a job hunt until at least a few years down the road. it's been a year of tremendous learning, and i've taken so much away from spending time with students, their families, and my colleagues that i truly would not trade this job for another at this point. of course, there were those tougher moments where there seemed no end in sight, but through it all, i praise God for His faithfulness that provided me the needed strength and courage.

the two months that lie before me seem an eternity at this point, but regardless of what they are filled with, i pray i can use my days with doing something significant for Him, the Giver of life, hope and possibility ^_^

Giver of Life (Tim Hughes)
Giver of life, You never change
All that is perfect comes from You
Your wonders never cease
Not even life, not even death
Nor any power in heaven or earth
Could separate us from Your love

For You are good
And Your mercies last a lifetime
You are good, always, always
Everyday, Your love is never ending
For You are good, always always

Freely you give, new every day
Your mercies will never fail
So great is Your faithfulness!
Your love is kind, Your love is pure
Your love will always persevere
For every blessing comes from You

You delight to pour Your goodness down
You delight to pour Your goodness down

montreal was an amazing time. we took in many sights, but of course the most cherished was the chance to be and share with loved ones.

BB and i had a truly blessed weekend. we attended the wedding of my childhood friend (whom i haven't seen since, literally, childhood!), then spent a few hours exploring where i grew up. but the most meaningful was doing ministry together - shining a bit of light into the darkness that another childhood friend has been enveloped in for a while now. why not offer mercy when He's first given it to us in abundance? thanks, God, for this divine opportunity!
