today's post is just an unsorted pile...kind of like my office desk tray heh ^___^
just one week till the wedding (serious piano practising required!) and OF comes. i can't believe it's nearly march.
on summer, sorry to AJ and GW, this year doesn't look likely. so much has come up in the recent while, and there's mission to complete here. you could always come visit me, though! :P
hmm, news from the 2 KLs end has been sparse these days. still need me to look into anything for ya?
as i was telling AMM, the past week has been quite a struggle. not sure how things will look for the next few days, but i guess this is where faith comes in. plus, so many hilarious moments have been burned into my mind that retrieval shouldn't be THAT difficult...

i've been learning a tremendous lesson in humility and never being overly self-assured in anything. it's easy to say i will not turn my back on doing the right thing in order to seek others' approval and to 'be liked', but it's such a challenge to actually practice that preaching.
i'm getting extremely excited about OF's visit - not only is she one of my best friends, but also family both here and forever. :) it's been almost 3 years since we last saw each other, but thankfully e-mail prevents the loss of communication, but rather encourages sharing and the maintenance of an unmatchable closeness...now, i just need to wait 10 days!!
also hoping i can meet up with JS after many months. i'm so blessed that our friendship remains ever growing despite having such hecticly separate schedules.

just passed was a busy weekend of laughter and memories:
saturday
attended the silver skate festival at hawrelak park with participants from the youth program
chat, viet dining and a visit to missions fest with maria
sunday
church was enlightening discussion, upbeat worship and awesome fellowship with young and old
city north ministry and hilarity especially during the car ride back (right, DS?)
surprise birthday dinner with TS and the rest of the "posse" was filled with nonstop laughter, digital camera experiments, wacky waving hands and one law enforcing stuffy. can't wait till the pics are up, guys!
the days ahead look to be hectic, but manageable with His help. especially looking forward to watching POC on wednesday.

can't believe it's already friday:
When was the last time you...
1. ...went to the doctor?
i can't even remember, but it was some skin thing (not acne, though).
2. ...went to the dentist?
too long ago :(
3. ...filled your gas tank?
was it last week...?!? speaking of the car, it really needs to be washed...dang this melting/slushy brown phase!
4. ...got enough sleep?
i'll tell you once the laughing subsides ^___^
5. ...backed up your computer?
i need one that works properly first.
AMM, He may want that, but i can't get there still...*frustrated shake of head*
OF, see ya in 14 days - i'm so excited!!!
for an awesome, shining testimony of His grace and love, visit rhiana's blog. she's the fantastic sister i have yet to meet!

1 CORINTHIANS 13 Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.
wow...
Thank you for giving me an extra reason to smile. ^____^

life is busy, finally in a measurable way...am i tired? sure. am i thankful? likewise, sure! (after all, when you pray for something, you better be ready to actually get it ^_^)
finally got to see the fruits of planning for the saturday youth program. it was a neat surprise to see some old faces from my student teaching days, as well as meet the others. volunteers are a tremendous asset - thanks loads to you!
our church turned 8 this week. wow, it's been nearly a decade since our move back to edmonton and the first public worship, but it really doesn't feel like that long. see pictures from sunday's worship here.
several recent occurrences have triggered some major thought (yes, there IS life upstairs!). i wish i knew what to do, but maybe i'm NOT supposed to be 'in the know' at this point. i realize it would be tough, but walking alongside unconditionally is something He first demonstrated.
God responds to kneemail - yikes, i must be bombarding him these days...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sweet sister/'twin'!! GLORIA, you have made such a bright imprint on my life through your constant care and prayers. much love...missing you!!
birthday wishes also to maddie - wow i can't believe how long it's been since i last saw you! come visit soon, okay? have an awesome day!
i guess you can have wrong vibes sometimes...it's not necessarily bad, it just means having to rethink one's outlook.
my colleague's friend recently got a position with EPSB ... so, that's possible after all! i'm praying this will also be the case for many others (including yours truly) come september.
wow, lots to celebrate these days, what with birthdays, a wedding, and possible visit from ori coming up...

HAPPY GROUNDHOG DAY!
as expected, we're okay. i always knew we would be, it was just a matter of trying. and really, it seems in the time where we weren't as free, everyone has really grown up a lot.
thanks to thad and kinnson for jazzing up the site and to everyone who's signed up so far. :)
as for "that", who really knows. i don't think yesterday or saturday made it any better. just what is it that keeps me wondering?!?
